Course overview

This short course is aimed at individuals wanting to learn the skills required to groom and clip dogs with appropriate care and minimal stress and discomfort.

Classes will be conducted in an appropriate grooming environment under the supervision of a qualified grooming teacher.

Upon completion of this short course, you will be equipped with the required skills and knowledge to provide animal grooming services to companion dogs.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

Resources required

You will be required to wear:

  • an appropriate dog grooming top;
  • closed in, comfortable shoes as you will be on your feet for most of the day; and
  • minimal jewellery (stud earrings, no necklaces, facial jewellery must be removed or taped over).
Need to know

As this class requires you to be on your feet for long periods, it is essential that you wear comfortable shoes.
